Research from Ph.D. candidate Kelsey Q. Wright was featured in a new addition to the PRB Resource Library. Experiencing poverty shapes women’s access and use of contraceptives even when the services are free. Wright’s research on racial and socioeconomic factors that affect contraception selection and use was recently published in Social Science & Medicine.

Graduate student Ruo-Fan Liu (Mikki) received a dissertation fellowship from Chiang-Ching Kuo Foundation, a grant from the China Times Cultural Foundation Grant, and an award from the Transnational Initiative Fund from The Society for the Study of Social Problems Association. Liu’s research interests focus on higher education, student choices, and social mobility.
