Emily Burke, a first-year graduate student, was invited to speak with Pope Francis about climate change and its relationship to migration on Thursday February 24. This event, “Building Bridges,” was hosted by Loyola University in Chicago and included students from Central, South, and North America. The focus of the dialogue is immigration and matters related to economic and environmental justice. The students shared concrete educational projects that seek to justly transform environmental and economic realities and share perspectives on these issues that impact their lives.
