Associate Professor Michael Light, and UW-Madison graduate student co-authors Jingying He and Jason Robey, had their research published in an article in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences that compares crime rates between undocumented immigrants, legal immigrants, and native-born US citizens in Texas. An interview with Light about the research can be found here. The team’s work was selected by UW-Madison research communicators as one of the stories that stood out the most to them in 2020. It has also been featured in the Scientific American.
