Ruo-Fan (Mikki) Liu was awarded two graduate paper awards!
Liu’s paper, “Envisioning Opportunities to College Admissions: Social Capital in the Development of Students’ College Plans,” was selected as an award winner for the 2023 Youth, Aging, and Life Course Best Graduate Student Paper.
Additionally, her paper, “Well, You Never Know!: Strategic Cultural Coaching and Uncertain Transmission to Educational Attainment,” was selected as the 2023 best graduate student paper by Comparative International and Education Society and the third-prize honor by Midwest Sociological Society.
