Youbin Kang was awarded honorable mention for the 2023 Best Student Paper award from the Labor and Labor Movements section of the American Sociological Association for her paper “Unionizing Against Solidarity: The Meritocracy of Habitus and the Politics of Skills in the Seoul Metro.”
This paper is a part of Kang’s dissertation project examining infrastructural labor and urban development.
