Vicky Chang to Retire from Wisconsin Longitudinal Study

The Wisconsin Longitudinal Study (WLS) announced that Huey-Chi Vicky Chang is retiring from UW-Madison this spring. Vicky started as a Sociology graduate student at UW in 1989. Before her work with the WLS, Vicky collaborated with Aimee Dechter on the project, “Implications of Health-Related Resources and Services for Racial and Socioeconomic Differentials in Mortality.”

She has been a member of the WLS staff since January of 2008.  Carol Roan, WLS Study Director, stated “Vicky’s title during her tenure at WLS was ‘Data Manager’ but in reality, her contributions to the WLS go well-beyond that description. Her attention to detail and perseverance gave her WLS colleagues the assurance that the data files, programs, and documentation she created were accurate and robust. We will continue to benefit from them in her retirement.” We wish Vicky well!
