Congratulations to graduate student Taylor Laemmli for having her paper, “Workers and Their Foes: Low-Autonomy Precarious Work in the Service Triad,” selected for the Harry Braverman Award by the Labor Studies Division of the Society for the Study of Social Problems.
Assistant Professor Max Besbris’ book “Upsold” was selected by the Midwest Sociological Society for it’s Distinguished Book Award.
Unfortunately our speaker, Professor Tyrone Forman, has had to postpone his presentation that was scheduled for Wednesday, March 30 at 12:15pm. We will be working to reschedule his lecture for later this semester and will send out more information once a new date and time have been set.
