UniverCity Alliance Brings Faculty, Students, and Communities together

UW-Madison and Pepin County staff meet to discuss their UniverCity year.This year UniverCity is collaborating with the City of Durand and the village of Stockholm in Pepin County to address their challenge of economic development and environmental sustainability.  There are 11 faculty members who will address these issues through university courses and research for the next year. UniverCity receives funding from American Family Insurance, UW-Madison’s Baldwin Wisconsin Idea Endowment, Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies, alumnus John Holton, and COWS, the economy and jobs think tank directed by Joel Rogers, Professor of Sociology.  Read more
