Memorial Resolution Published by UW-Madison Faculty to Honor Hal Winsborough

Hal Winsborough arrived at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1967, where he was an associate professor in the Department of Sociology charged with the creation of a demographic research center. Hal succeeded in securing funding from the National Institutes of Health, and the Center for Demography and Ecology (CDE) was  created. His vision laid the foundation for CDE to last, and the highly ranked research center is still going strong 53 years later. This memorial resolution provides an overview of Dr. Winsborough’s impact in both the UW-Madison Department of Sociology and the field of sociology at large.
