Savion Castro earned a bachelor’s degree in Sociology at UW-Madison in 2018, choosing this major for its combination of political science and theory, history, statistics, and methodology. He now works as a legislative aide for state Rep. Shelia Stubbs, D-Madison. He was sworn on July 29 for a nine-month term on the Madison Metropolitan School District Board, one of the youngest members ever to serve in a non-student role on the board. Castro plans to be a voice for attracting and retaining young families to the district.
