Elise is a senior at UW-Madison majoring in Sociology and Political Science with a certificate in Gender and Women’s Studies. She ultimately hopes to contribute sociological research on disability movements and the formation of disability culture and identity, combining her interests in political sociology, social psychology, and disability studies. Outside of academics, Elise is a part of a coalition of students to start a university-sponsored Disability Cultural Center at UW. She is also a LEND Fellow at the Waisman Center, a writer and editor for The Badger Herald, and serves on shared governance through Associated Students of Madison.
