Nora Cate Schaeffer Appointed to Research Leadership Post
Nora Cate Schaeffer, professor of sociology, will join the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Graduate Education on August 19. She will serve as interim associate vice chancellor for research in the social sciences. She has been the faculty director of the UW Survey Center since 2003. In this new position, Schaeffer will supervise divisional area recruitment and retention, grant marches, research center review, faculty awards and professorships, and Fall Competition awards.
