Monica Grant receives Global Health Institute Funds

Associate Professor Monica Grant is one of nine recipients of Seed Grants from the UW-Madison Global Health Institute.  She is examining the connection between climate change and family planning in Malawi by interviewing men and women four months after flooding associated with Cyclone Idai displaced thousands of people.  Grant is asking “How do families make decisions about building their families in the context of environmental change?”  Grant’s goal is to obtain information that will help her move forward with research in this area and to obtain additional funding for this project.
