The ASA Sociology of Sexualities 2019 Distinguished Book Award Honorable Mention was given to Jason Orne, who is currently an Assistant Professor of Sociology at Drexel University and received his PhD from our program in 2015. His book, Boystown, was based on three years of ethnography in Chicago’s gay neighborhood and examins the importance of sex to queer communities.
